One of the highlights of my employment in GCI was my promotion to Transport Team Leader during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite major challenges, I stayed focused, supported the team, and helped keep operations running smoothly. With that experience, I was able to strengthen my leadership and resilience.
In my leadership journey, I’ve learned the importance of empathy, communication, and adapting to different personalities. Leading others has taught me how to bring out the best in people and face challenges together. Also, the company’s leadership training has played a big role in my development. It sharpened my decision making, management, and conflict resolution skills that help me lead more effectively.
Looking ahead, I aim to improve our transport systems by reducing manual work, adding automation, and enhancing scheduling. These changes for me will boost accuracy and efficiency as the company expands.
